San Antonio College’s radio station, KSYM 90.1, raised more than $25,000 during its annual pledge drive April 8–14. The drive brought in $25,543 in pledges, exceeding the $25,000 goal set by organizers.

KSYM General Manager Donnie Meals said the station has held an annual pledge drive for the past 30 years to raise funds for operating costs such as licensing and performance rights, fees for streaming shows, and investments in equipment and modernization efforts.

Many local media personalities donated time to the fundraiser, broadcasting for an hour each. KSYM also featured live bands on the station’s Separation Anxiety Show from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. to help raise funds.
